    1. #1 Pick of the week Manitoba RCMP recently rescued three girls under the age of six who were being sexually abused and exploited. Four men aged 37, 40, 42 and 56 were arrested. During the investigations, tens of thousands of child pornography images were found by the Manitoba RCMP Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit. In a different incident but pertaining to this subject: Kevin Braun, 31, a former Manitoba teacher faces 33 months in jail for child luring. It involved a 14-year-old girl he met when he was a substitute Grade 7 teacher. Braun was married and expecting his first child, reported CTV News. Predators are in all walks of life. https://www.westernstandard.news/opinion/slobodian-manitoba-mounties-rescue-girls-under-six-from-sexual-predators/53751

    2. #2 Pick of the week CALGARY, Alberta (LifeSiteNews) — A Canadian judge stopped for now at least the planned euthanasia death of a 27-year-old autistic woman after ruling in favor of her father, who appealed another judge’s decision to allow the woman to go ahead with taking her life despite his objections.   On March 25, Justice Colin C.J. Feasby of the Alberta Court of King’s Bench overturned an injunction sought by the autistic woman’s father, which had previously prevented her from being killed via Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) euthanasia program. https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/canadian-judge-blocks-imminent-euthanasia-death-of-27-year-old-autistic-woman/

    3.  #3 Pick of the week Activist Canadian Frontline Nurse Kristen Nagle is celebrating the end of her legal and financial penalties. Nagle was sentenced to two years probation and a $7,500 fine for violating Ontario’s Reopening Act by her participation in an anti-lockdown rally in London, ON in January 2022. A victim surcharge brought the total cost to $9,375.  Nagle, a former neo-natal nurse at London Health Sciences Centre, was placed on leave following a November 2020 anti-lockdown rally in London. She was fired from her job with cause in January 2021 and resigned her registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in January 2023. Earlier this year, Nagle was found guilty of two charges under Ontario’s Reopening Act, for attending and organizing a rally in November 2020 and fined $20,000. https://www.westernstandard.news/news/nurse-nagle-clears-final-legal-hurdle-with-reduced-fine-and-two-years-probation/53684

What Our Logo Means

The logo for Manitoba Stronger Together incorporates elements that symbolize unity, community, and the strength of the bison.

  1. Bison Icon: Is a silhouette of a stylized representation of a bison, symbolizing strength, resilience, and unity. The bison is depicted in a side stance, representing progress and moving together as a community.

  2. The vertical stripes: represent that the movement includes all people from all walks of life, all beliefs and all political affiliations.

  3. The Horizontal Connecting Lines: across the bison represent the connections and interdependence of community members, emphasizing the concept of being stronger together.

  4. Blue Tones: The blue in the logo design represents growth, harmony, and the natural beauty of Manitoba's landscapes.

  5. Dynamic Font: We choose a strong and modern bold font for the organization's name "Manitoba Stronger Together" to convey a sense of confidence and forward-thinking.

Let us continue to unite, ignite our passions, and work towards building a stronger and united Manitoba. Together, we will shape the future we want and deserve.

Keep an eye out for our next meeting announcement, and let us walk this transformative journey as one!

Stay united, stay empowered, and stay strong!

In solidarity,

The Manitoba Stronger Together Team
